A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of functions, but it is stunningly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button for the specific email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a couple of mouse clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses under any domain name registered there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a mailbox, you’ll need to click the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this option can be accomplished in the exact same manner and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning note. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or replace any feature automatically.
