Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the only one intended for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can acquire your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular restrictions on who can purchase a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
